October sure still felt like summer here in the low desert, but that didn't stop the fun! We enjoyed fun family trips to the zoo, state fair, and various parks. We're getting the feeling that soccer isn't Juliana's “thing”, but it was still nice to get the outdoor time as the weather started to cool down. Juliana spent one weekend at Grandma & Grandpa's house while Jeni, Steve, and Sarah took a very quick roadtrip to LA to spend time with friends and attend a wedding reception. Sarah is a bright-eyed little girl, smiling and cooing constantly. The swing is one of her favorite places, calming her down when all else fails, almost always lulling her to sleep. The fussiness we'd experienced over the previous month or so seems to have mostly dissipated, with Sarah's cries now being very identifiable as hunger- or tiredness-related. The month ended with Juliana and Sarah dressing up as Cinderella and a chili pepper for Halloween.
